Suggested Use
In this course are 5 modules that will help you reframe your relationship to your needs and shift the pattern of people pleasing and over giving, so you can create more space for yourself, and relationships based on genuine reciprocity rather than codependency and self-sacrifice.
Each module is science backed, and contains a set of journal prompts for you to uncover your relationship to people pleasing, and a self-hypnosis audio or meditation designed to help you integrate your findings and the new way you’d like to show up on a deeper level.
Finally, below each set of journal prompts is an action step to commit to while you move through the module, because ultimately, we transform through consistent action. When we act differently, communicate differently, and choose differently, we can build a different life.
We recommend moving through one module a week as follows:
- On the first day of the week, we suggest writing out your answers to the module's journal prompts with pen and paper. This is a crucial part of the process, as it will show you in black and white the present day patterns, behaviors and thoughts that are getting in your way, so you can actively work toward changing them. Writing with pen and paper also allows for deeper integration and awareness.
- Use your journal prompts to inform how you approach the action step of the week, and commit to taking this action step as often as you remember to have the most impact. We often provide examples of action steps to take, but if you’re unsure about this step, please feel free to reach out to hello@theseedlevel.com and we will give you some tips for how to move forward.
- Each day of the week, reread your answers to your journal prompts. This creates emotional salience and tells the brain that this pattern is important to pay attention to. When the brain understands something is important, it actively pours energy and internal resources into making the change you want to make.
- Finally, do the audio of the module at least 3-4 times a week for maximum impact.
Remember, there is no wrong way to move through this course. Take it at your own pace.
